steve is right. our country now is very low in terms of social mobility, upward mobile, part of the american dream. part of the reform, health care reform was to allow people to be able to move to jobs they might not otherwise consider. so much was dependent on did it have health care. years ago, all of you will remember this, u.s. automakers at one point toyed with single payer medicare or health care reform because of the competitiveness. the u.s. economy is less competitive because of the unenlightened business class, unwillingness to understand you need to build a partnership across society if you're going to be competitive in a global economy. i think on many levels children, pre-existing conditions, women should be speaking up. that's an important part of this health care plan. across the board but a broad, general social economic message. >> it is worth noting that three-quarter of medical bankruptcies happen to people who have insurance. to say the system doesn't need reform broadly speaking
